DAVID SIMISTER
EDITOR
David’s been with CCW since 2013, and its editor since 2016 – though sadly still can’t make a decent cup of tea. Currently spends most of his wages on his Reliant Scimitar GTE and Mazda MX-5 – but has a curious soft spot for MGs, Minis, Range Rovers…. …and Reliant three-wheelers.
JAMES SADLIER
MANAGING EDITOR
Our managing editor – and the man behind the look of CCW’s pages – regularly takes his Peugeot 406 Coupé to classic shows and on voyages to the various marathons he takes part in. Also owns a Mazda MX-5 MkII, which has been ‘in progress’ for about four years.
CHRIS HOPE
FEATURES EDITOR
Triumph TR7 devotee Chris is responsible for making sure that CCW has the best feature articles, buying guides and stories of our classics to keep you entertained and informed every week. Has a penchant for Fifties and Sixties sports cars, and has been promising himself an Austin-Healey Sprite ever since he joined the team.
JON BURGESS
NEWS EDITOR
News editor Jon has his finger on the pulse of what’s happening in the classic car world and is behind our biggest stories. When he’s not on the phone to classic car clubs, auction houses and classic dealers, he’s busy keeping his Volvo ‘Amazon’, Jeep Cherokee and Subaru SVX on the road.

MIKE LE CAPLAIN
PRODUCTION EDITOR
Having written for Classic Car Weekly for more than a decade, Mike knows Britain’s historic vehicle movement inside out, and is responsible for keeping the rest of us on our toes and for making sure that your favourite read gets to the printers on time. When he isn’t proof-reading our pages, he’s out enjoying his Jaguar XJ6 or MGF.

CHARLIE CALDERWOOD
EVENTS EDITOR
Charlie’s owned plenty of classics, including a Mini, Volkswagen Scirocco and Peugeot 205, and currently gets his B-road kicks from a Peugeot 306 (and he’s aiming to get a classic roadster for the weekends, too). Our resident expert on the classic shows, runs and meets that you won’t want to miss.
RICHARD BARNETT
MARKETS EDITOR
Our markets editor can sniff out a bargain at fifty paces – which is why his garage is stuffed with old cars that give plenty of reliable service for next to nothing, including a Daihatsu Fourtrak, Mitsubishi Lancer and a Bedford HA van. It’s a constantly changing collection, though – being at all those classic car auctions means some of the bargains are too tempting to resist…
NICK LARKIN
EDITOR-AT-LARGE
Nobody really knows how many cars and buses are in the hands of our longest-serving writer, who contributed to our very first issue back in 1990. We suspect even Nick himself doesn’t know, but we’ve heard stories of Rovers being lost down the back of couches and Saabs being abandoned in sheds. Currently owns an Austin A55 Cambridge, Rover 75, MG ZR, and Austin Maestro.
You can also read about the cars Classic Car Weekly's contributors own in the Our Classics pages of each week's issue. Some of the cars we regularly feature include an MGB GT V8, Ford Model B, Reliant Scimitar GTE, Fiat Panda, Volvo 940, Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen T2 Camper, Saab 900 Turbo, Opel Monza, Rover P4, and a lot more besides!
